![]() ![]() P.S.: I have been playing around a little bit with the new beta 2.7: Bravo! I have never seen another application, that advances it's functionality and usability that fast. I am sceptic, but I will report the results. I have ordered a stylus to try out, if it helps to create routes faster or more exactly. A left-handed user, of course, might be very content. For this reason, I would prefer to have the button at the left side or the bottom, or at least a little bit beyond the current position. The button is imho not in the optimal position, since the finger is likely to obscure the curser position in the moment I push the button. Now I may get 100 free music submissions a day, but Im still able to keep. My problem: I use my right hand to create waypoints. The good news is you can register and make your gateways in just 60 seconds. If I use this method to create a route, I can place waypoints with sufficient exactness. I din't even look, what function was behind it. I find the option "automatic waypoints" a little bit misleading, because i want to create waypoint manually. In fact, I never read the documentation completely: No time! Programs need to be as much self-explanatory as possible. In the way that says Asperge, routes can be created quickly.Īnyway, I will work in a more quickly way for creating routes. Without a pointer, it is not easy to create accurate wpts using capacitive screens. kml and the latter is not usable offline.īest regards, and thanks for your excellent work!Īsperge's right. I considered to use Apemap or Google MyTracks for track creation, but the former does not support. Creating lots of waypoints with oruxmaps requires too much effort. I don't know, how to achieve that efficiently with my android phone. ![]() With Ozi, I would enter track creation mode, and use my stylus to create a track point with a single tap, so a track of 200 points could be constructed easily in a few minutes. Trip planning is often an ad hoc activity, so I cannot create every route/track in advance at my home PC. I use to be somewhere in the mountains, foreign country, no internet access (too expensive abroad), trying to plan a hiking trip for the next day. I do not know the specifics of how Google does its Exchange authentication, but I do not find what you experience surprising, and I only find it a little bit worrying (and not for the reasons you might expect). What I am still missing is some way of fast offline route planning with the mobile device. Now, that I am using android, oruxmaps has become my "killer app." I have been using OziExplorerCE for 7 years (on my PocketPC/Windows Mobile PDA/phone) and it was my favourite mobile application, as I always do a lot of outdoor activities like mountain biking, hiking, etc. ![]()
